Key generation

Hi Gurus

We have a requirement of generating a number for all the records in particular range. For this in Console we have marked key mapping as yes and had given range for the remote system. We are able to generate keys but the problem is that after importing and deduplication process MDM is only syndicating dedupped records. MDM is not giving any information regarding the records which got merged in Data Manager at the time of syndication, and thus our middleware guys are not able to identify which all records are merging. Is there any way MDM can syndicate this information i.e which all records are getting merged. Any work around?

Thanks & regards

Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

Its the key mapping information only with the help of which we can decide which records are merged. Just syndicate this information along with records. You will find a node Remote Key in the source fields, map it with some destination fields and syndicate it.

    Hi Kiran,

As far as I have understood you want to know which records are merged.

This can very well be achieved. For this you will have to add a field global id in the destination structure.Map it to the source id field.

Also map your source remote key to the destination id field.

Check your suppress key without remote keys.

Save your map. When you syndicate, you will get all the records including the merged records with the difference that the global id will be the same for the merged records and the local ids will be unique.

In this way the merged records can be differentiated.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks,

    Minaz

    Hi Kiran,

As I understood, you require the key mappings of records also to be syndicated out so that other systems can know that which records are merged with which records.

This article will help you out.
