Edit in one Workspace & Debugging in the second in Eclipse with ABAP Development Tools (ADT)

Hello!

I work with two monitors so I thought it would be nice if I could use one Eclipse-Workspace in Edit-Mode (on the development-system) on the first monitor (vertical! ;-) and the second Eclipse-Workspace in Debugging-Mode (on the test/consolidation-system) on the second monitor.

I couldn't get it to work properly! :-(

That's why:

  1. Opening the report I want to test in the second workspace ends with no toolbar in this workspace (--> first question: Why?!)
  2. Pressing F8 (in the second workspace) to start the report opens a tab in the first workspace. (I'll drag it in the second workspace, but... why there is no preference to open the tabs in the active workspace?!)
  3. ... the debugging-session with all the views opens again in the first workspace! (again: Why there is no preference to opens the debugging-perspective in the active workspace?!) Ok, then I remember that I have a debugging view of my own, so I press the button to recall it and...
  4. ... the second workspace disappear completely and all of the tabs are gathered in the first workspace! (last question: ?!?!)

:-(

So it ends my attempt to use two workspaces... with 4 new questions! :-)

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks!

Regards,
Vlad
