Hi,

The error says that the Connection has timed out, ie. the connection between BI and EP has timed out. You have to increase this time. It has been set as 60 s. Normally SAP would recommend to set this as 900 s.

You can do this by going to t.codes RZ10 and RZ11.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

In RZ10, you have to select the Profile Name (server name basically). After selecting the profile, select the option of Extended Maintenance and then click Display.

There is a table and there is a field "rdisp/gui_auto_logout", set this as 9000 going to the edit mode and "rdisp/max_wprun_time", set this as 90000.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I had a similar issue and had to change the time setting in RZ10, and that worked percfectly for me. Try restarting your Portal server.

It might help.

Hi,

Its kind of funny, but RFC Connection does not exist means the connectivity between EP and BI is not there. I dont know why its showinf like that. Pls check it.

You are broadcasting this in background aren;t you via a scheduled job - and not execute immeediately?

If you arent doing it - then its the normal bex timeout - ie the query is taking too long to run - run it via trhe scheul - non periodic job - start time a minute after

Hi Archana,

Open your work book from BEx >select Tools icon>distribute work book >open it in new window> now you can schedule this .

Once check the precalcualtion server is in active or not

by RSPRECADMIN T-code.

Pcrao.

Archana - basically you are running the workbook in foreground and the query is timing out because of a numbr of thigns (bad query desgin, volume of data - lack of aggregates etc)

You need to broadcast it in backgound
