Hi,
I wanna take a copy of a model from the shared repository. When i use save as option, it saves the model in the local repository dcs. Then i tried to export the model from there.but it gives the below error
"Cannot export the model because its referenced components have not been saved in the local repository"
can anyone tell me the solution?
Thanks and Regards,
Priya
Hi Pryia
There is a way of doing this, but it may require some manual work.
What you have to do is save your model to the local repository, then save all the models it depends on (other models can be used as nested models or as go-to links).
Last (and most tedious) thing to do is to delete all the data services from your model, re drag them into the model from the search panel and re-wire them.
This is not such a good solution, and it will be much easier to do in the next version (7.1.1), but currently this is all I have to offer.

Shai

Hi Priya,
the model you are working with is using other models or data services. These models must be saved to the local repository. After saving that you must re arrange the references for pointing to the referenced model in the local repository. I think that after that you can export your model.
Read page 44 of Visual Compser for SAP Netweaver Composition Environment Modelers Guide and Reference Guide: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/c2ba85545e3116e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
Hope this helps
