C4C How to add replicated registered products (equipments) to new installed bases

Hi,

For my service project we will replicate equipment’s to registered products from SAP ECC to C4S. The customer currently only works with equipment’s in ECC. The equipment’s have a link to the customer in ECC and I expect that the web services for loading the equipment’s to C4S, will also make the relationship to the customer in C4S based on the partners external ID.

We would like to set up the installed base functionality to group registered products nicely together and to provide field service the possibility to add products, (text) items etc. to the installed base of the customer. How can we set up installed bases and make the equipment’s ‘land’ in automatically in the new installed base set up in C4S, when they are replicated?

I checked the migration templates and there is a migration template with which I can set up an installed base for (a selection of) customers. But there is no possibility to make a link between the installed base and the registered products.

Manually all can be done and there is a nice localization action in the hierarchy tab, that can be used within the installed base to check if there are any registered products with a match on customer, but I am looking for a more automated but standard flow.

Does anybody have experience with a similar situation and can confirm that this will be a manual exercise in C4S or share some creative thoughts on how this can be handled in a more automated and controlled way?

Hi,

This is not the information i am looking for. I am looking for more up to date information and experiences from others that replicated equipments and linked them to C4C installed bases.
