Analysis for Office - Conditional Formatting on Multiple dimensions

Hi,

Does anyone know how we can achieve formatting where there are 2 or more dimensions involved. For e.g. I have Account and Org Hier in row axis and I wish to have a formatting on the data cells where I have specifically Account member 'AA' and Org Hier member 'YY'.

I can only do a formatting in Analysis for Office for members 'AA' and 'YY' separately, but not as an intersection like we could in EPM.

Thanks
-Nitin

Thanks Venkata,

Appreciate your kind help, I was aware of this feature, however, this is for a a very restricted functionality and has limitations thus not fulfilling my requirement,

1. This is only value based, and that too value only of the Key Figure in the report axis. In my case, the conditions may/may not be value based, conditions may be dimension attribute based, and may be based on the type of category selections etc. So this is not available here.

2. There is no option to lock the cells if I use this conditional formatting functionality. Say for e.g. if the category selected is 'Actual', grey out these rows and lock the cells.

3. There is a very limited formatting option in terms of colour, font, etc.

I am looking for a bit more flexible options to put such conditions. In EPM this was very simple and straight forward. In the Embedded world we would expect such functionalities to be available in AO as well now that we are working in the new BPC versions, but unfortunately its not at the moment.

Thanks,

-Nitin

Hi Nitin Nayyar,

i think this should be possible

Use the selection tab to select Account member 'AA' and Org Hier member 'YY', and maintain your definition(Condition)

hope this helps

Thanks & Regards,
Subhash
