date format in sap script

hi all,

i m getting the delivery date from VBEP-TDDAT through subroutine in sap script, but the date format is

20081024 , i want in 24.10.2008 format. please tell me how to do it, m beginer

    Convert the date format using FM CONVERT_DATE_FORMAT and then use that date in script.

    Or another thing you could do is use the following code:

    /: SET DATE MASK = 'DD.MM.YYYY'.

    Let me know if the above code does not work.

    Hi,

    Put the value of VBEP-TDDAT in another variable with 10 character and use edit mask option, use that variable in the sap script, hope this should work.

    hi,

    Try this FM

    data : v_date type field-type,

    v_date1 type string.

    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_PDATE_OUTPUT'

    EXPORTING

    input = v_date

    IMPORTING

    OUTPUT = v_date1
