Putaway with Strategy 'P'

Hi Gurus,

Could You please help me regarding how I can drive system to putaway material packed in Handling Unit in a Storage Unit managed Warehouse so that during putaway in Storage Type with Putaway Strategy 'P'

( Storage Unit) and with 'Capacity Check Active' system should place only those Storage Units into a particular bin having bin sectioning activated for which materials inside the SU are same ?

I mean to say a if I have

SU#001 for material # 123 with Weight 25 KG

and SU#002 for material # 789 with Weight 10 KG

and I have BIN # 01-01 and 02-02 with each having capacity 100 KG. and 3 sectioning is done i.e. ( 01-01/1, 01-01/2, 01-01/3 ; 02-02/1, 02-02/2, 02-02/3 )

Then system should Putaway SU#001 for material # 123 in Bin 01-01

and SU#002 for material # 789 in BIn 02-02

Currently system is putting away SU#001 and SU#002 in Bin 01-01/1 and 01-01/2 respectively ( as their total weight is 35 KG {25+10} and BIN capacity is 100KG)

what is the mixed storage value set up for this ST?

Hi,

Mixed Storage Value is set as 'A' (Several homogeneous storage units per bin)

Capacity Check is Set as '1' (Check according to maximum weight)

'Homogenious' SU means just a single material in SU. Option A allows mix of any SUs as long as they have just any single item with in it. I believe you need the value of blank for the Mixed Storage. Please try and award if helpful.

Hi,

I am sorry that I can not mark you even a single award as you might know that system do not let me leave the 'Mixed Storage' status blank with Putaway strategy 'P'

I have already tried with the option you said.

If I do so system flashes the error " For strategy P and SU management, only mixed storage X or A approrpiate"

Please suggest me.

Hi Amit ,

I conluded 2 requirements from your question.

1. You want to add meterial in on storage unit check level.

Chenge your Capacity check to ---> 5 Usage check based on SUT (In storage Type setting)

2. Add the material to existing storage unit.

First check whether add to existing stock is Tiked for storage type setting or not.

As per your requirement you want to add the Material to the existing storage unit which is managed for Handling Unit.

First you require to Unpack the material through inbound delivery or HUPAST. Then create Transfer order against inbount delivery ( LT0F) or if against GR then use Lt06.

Select your line item,

In this refer Menu GOTO>Storage unit>Add to axisting stock then add storage unit Number.

Finally confirm by LT12.
