service confirmation with zero quantity

Hi Gurus,

We are on SRM 5.00 , extended classic scenario. we wanted to create a zero quantity confirmation of a service item , however quantity is mandatory field and it does not allow zero value.

The zero value confirmation can be done for material with LD indicator set to "X" , the same cannot be done for service PO where we wantto confirm the PO with only making LD indicator set to "X"

Is this a limitation and if we can overcome this. I know in MM backend also we cannot create a service entrysheet with zero quantity. we want to achieve this at both place and SRM and MM.

Please share your inputs.

Do not enter anything, see if it works. I think there are limitations on it.

Hi Imthiyaz,

I have checked and it does not work that way too . I am looking for some literature where SAP says it is not possible.
