Adding new fields to existing IDOC

Hi Guys,

I've an Idoc ZWMIVID01 already defined in the system which needs to be modified for Adding new fields to it ...

So i followed the below approach

1. go to WE30 and unlock (Edit->cancel release) the IDocType first.

2. go through the needed segments with double click and goto segmenteditor (or WE31).

3. cancel release of the segment, too.

4. make nessesary changes to the segment by adding new fields.

5. save and set all releases again.

Go to WE57 or WE20 to find out your FM.

Go to CMOD and search - if used - the needed EXIT.

But strange thing i am facing is WE30 >Edit >Cancel release is GREYED out in Dev Server as CHANGE mode is disabled wherein Sandbox does have the CHANGE option & i am able to add the fields......Please help ....

Regards

Jaman.

    Hi,

I think may be transaction variant is created for that tcode in development server and changed mode is disabled. So chk if transaction variant is created or not for WE30 in development server. If it is created then change the variant and enable the change mode.

    Regards,
