Budget check for Purchase order

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a budget check for the object Purchase order in Extended classic scenario?

It works for SC and in sourcing cockpit but when creating PO in BBP_POC there are no checks or messengers. Instead we get the status "error in process" when we are creating a PO over budget.
