while working on the PAS we needed to get data from the BI server. we are able to succesfully create an LinkID and the test connection is successful.

but after typing schema and connect <linkid> it is not getting connected

the following error is displayed

ACC134:

Unable to connect to linkid LINKID1

Failed to connect

kindly help me in this and if possible send some links of the documents useful ......

Vijay,

Are you using SSM 7.0? There is a BI Connector piece with 7.0 that makes bringing BI data into PAS much easier.

Vijay,

My recommendation is to move to SSM 7.0, it is no longer in Ramp Up, it is in GA. There are some fundamental differences in how SSM and SAP BI deal with data and you are much, much better off moving to 7.0.

The BI Connector will only work with SSM 7.0, plus there are other tools available with 7.0 that helps bringing data in.

Vijay,

The BICA tool can be found in Note #1156224. This tool was limited to Ramp Up customers of SSM 7.0. Although SSM 7.0 has recently exited Ramp Up, I am not sure whether this Note has made it to General Availability. If it doesn't show up for you, it hasn't been released.

Training for using the BICA was covered in the RKT Training sessions and there won't be any Education sessions offered on SSM until early next year.

Please try the Note and see if it is available to you.

Regards,

Bob
