Export and Import DC's Project?

Hi @,

What is the correct way to export and import DC's project without NWDI. I have created DC projects and now need to export and import in other machine and not able to find correct procedure for the same whether to export directly or as an archive an fthen import it again. I am trying but its not working?

Can you please suggest any link or steps for the same.

to export just navigate to the required dc

C:Documents and Settings<user name>.dtc<your dc name>

copy the dc and paste in another machine same path C:Documents and Settings<user name>.dtc<your dc name>

Hi Ramesh,

But I dont have this dtr But I do have workspace.jdi where there is a folder named Local Development and inside that DC where all the DC related things are storeda nd when I am trying to import the same it gives me no object.

Hi,

right click on your DC and from the context menu navigate to properties .

select info and you can see the location property example like

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\.dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\sap.com\dc_name\_comp\

from this location copy the dc_name folder.

paste it into other system and build the dc.

Can we use the _comp in the same system and use it in different DC project and then import it.

no.

from source to destination every thing should be same.

you have to copy the dc from the root folder means dc name folder.

if you dont want to have NWDI you can set up CVS
