Hi

I have created delivery.client wants to send ASN to the customer. I am pretty new to this, How to create ASN and what is the configuration needed for this.Mostly can u please give me scenario when do you need to create ASN?

Hi ,

We can send ASN through IDOC settings.Whenever you do PGI the system will send the output message through IDOC to your customers system.

Hi there,

ASN is Advance Shipmnet notification that is sent to the carrier or forwarding agent to imtimate him about the the shipments that would come to him. This is to inform him about upcoming shipments sothat he could have space reserved in his truck for the shipment.

This is what we have been implementing in our project.

We have defined a new O/p type & maintained the determination procedure. We have defined the transmission medium as EDI sothat it goes to the forwarder system as an IDOC.

In the requirement routine of the determination procedure, we have coded in such a way that the O/p triggers immediately after creation of delivery.

We have maintained the partner profiles of the agent in WE20 & defined the IDOC types in WE30.
