    Hi,

It can happen that some document nos getting skipped in between due to buffering and later when the document range reaches the end of the range defined, when trying to post a new document, the system searches these missed out ones and get posted with that document nos.

In your case pl check if the document range defined is reached completion...

I had experienced the above issue at my company and could come to this conclusion..

    Regards

    Hi,

It is because, Basis team defines some buffer for document number ranges. The reason for buffer is same time lots of users are creating documents for the transactions. hence system keeps buffer. As said above check your number range if it is about to complete.

    Hi

Generaly 10 is maintained as default buffer...U can remove same if u do not want number range jumping

Perpose of keeping buffer is just performance of system as while creation of material document program will not access the database for the next number. It will check it in memory which is much quicker than taking it from the database.which leads to faster performance of system
