Dear All,
I am using evaluation copy of SAP Business One 2007 B (8.60.030) SP: 00 PL: 00. I have configured E-Mail settings for SBO perfectly. If I use the option Send Email in SBO the emails are going fine. I have configured an alert by a user query; from there instant alerts coming along with the query result perfectly but email are not coming. Even if I forward the instant message (generated by the said query) and send as email the message along with the query result is going fine to the concerned email ID. But why not automatically?
Can you please tell me where the problem is?
When you use the option to manually send external email from user to user then the mail sender is comming from regular user email address (like john AT mydomain.com) but when it is from an alert the sender is from the email defined in company details; have you verified that addres was defined and it is not geting blocked from antispam or junk from your email program?

In the Alert Management Window, against the User have you selected 'EMail' Check Box ?.
I believe you should have checked only 'Int.' Check Box alone.

Hi,
Can you confirm the following :
1. A user needs to be logged in to B1 receive an alert via emnail ?
My understanding is that Alerts will not fire unless a user is logged in at that particular time.
Therfor if the alert does not fire, the data is not sent via the SBO-malier ?
Emails are recieved when one of recipients are logged into Business
One.for example , user x and user y are alerts emails via email.User x
or Y needs to be logged in for the alert to fire and be sent via the
Business One mailer.
Hope this will help.

Hallo Gagan Thareja,
Whatever I know about the mailing functionality used by SBO is very simple this functionality is used in several other programs (like Tally) too. Even in our customized applications we use this method toou2026. The method is as follows ---
SBO uses a mail server (e.g. mail.eg-server.co.in) to send the mails directly to the target mail IDu2019s mail box, not in the SBO of the targeted receiver. Hence the receiveru2019s SBO status is very much irrelevant in this context.
I have tested that, if I send a mail directly from SBO using the mailing option (not automatic by alerts) of SBO it goes perfectly.
