Multiple Master just Bcoz of Drawing

Dear Experts

Can anyone tell me something about my little bit problem , actually i want to reduce the number of SFG which is genrated just bcoz of some changes in drawing. SFG having regular changes with some minor change in drawing , then how can we reduce the nos of material master which is genrated due to drawing,

i need to reduce the new master bcoz of drawing ,

i think we can put multiple drawing in one Master and activate one of them but we need that system will show u the separate stk of Differ drawing. otherwise it will create problem ,

matched answer will be appreciable.

Hi Pankaj,

- If you want separate Stock Drawing Wise, then Different Halb Codes are required.Accrding to me it is the Best Option.

or

- Use Batch Management and assign one characteristic which represent the Drawing no. in Batch class assign to that Halb code.Then you can Distinguish the stock at Batch Level.And if required create an Z report for Stock purpose and use that Characteristic For Drawing Filtering the report.

Dear Dhaval

Differ Code is creating problem bcoz lots of code is there and we cant mange that in which BOM which material is used.

and inventory will held up due to this.

And u r saying about Batch management then pl tell me with one example.

Hi Pankaj,

I guess you are aware about Batch Management.

Now what I am telling is , Create one Batch Class and use one Batch Characteristic which represent that Drawing no.

And on the Basis of that Characteristic Value you can Develop one Stock Report and distinguish the Stock Drawing wise for the same Halb Code.

And one more thing which you can do is assign Drawing No. Directly as a Batch No.It becomes more easy and no development requires.
