capacity availability check

Hi,

I wanted to check the capacity availability.

I have received this error "No reqmts/caps exists or not relevant to finite scheduling"

although I have ssigned capacities to the work centers affected by the order and

Set the indicator Relevant to finite scheduling at the capacities in the work centers affected.

How can I get the capacity rquirement. In CM01 I only see the capacity availability ans no requirement.

Thanks

Dede

Hi,

If you want to check Capacity Availability during Order Creation or Release do the below settings in

T.code OPJK.

Select your Order type and Plant and go to details.

In Capacity Avaibility

Don't tick Check box for NO Check

Assign Overall Profile - SAPMPSG006 (MPS/MRP: Capacity availability check)

Thanks for the fast response. Unfortunately I am still having the same issue after making the suggested change. If you have any other thoughts, please let me know.

Dear,

Please define the workcenters used in the order operations as relevant for finite Scheduling. You need to do this in the Capacity Header details of the workcenter. Also check whether you have assigned the right formula's in the Capacity and Scheduling Tab of the work centre.

In OPU3 or OPU5 you need to active capacity requirement.

And run MRP with Lead time scheduling in MD02.

Please refer my these threads,

Thank you! It is now working. It was actually due to having a mismatch for the Unit of Measures. I had 'H' one spot and 'HR' another spot.

Dede,

I will assume you are talking about a production order.

There is quite a bit of things to do to make cap planning work,

but from the sound of it, you may not have your production orders

set to generate capacity requirements. CO02; look in the Control

data tab, Scheduling section. Check the 'Calculate capacity

requirements' box; and then schedule the order. If you move your

orders around much, it might not be a bad idea to check the 'automatic'

box too. This will automatically reschedule your orders when you

save them.

If you want your planned orders to also consume capacity,

then when you run MRP, you should select under the scheduling

field '2 - Lead time scheduling and capacity planning'.
