BW SRM Extractors

I have a basic question with the following scenario.

I have BW system with ECC and SRM as a source systems. My question is data sources ( Extractors) related to SRM resides in ECC or SRM source system? Like in ECC do we have RSA5 and RSA6 Tcodes in SRM system also? If so i am assuming all the datasources related to BW SRM will reside in SRM system not in ECC. Please correct me if I am wrong.

or de we need to install any plug in's in ECC system in order to get SRM extractors?

PS: I do not have access to SRM system other wise I would have checked this RSA5 in System.

Thanks for the Help.

    Hi Naga,

First you should find out with the SRM people which scenario will be deployed; SRM can be setup in the stand alone, classical or extended classical scneario. It depends on the scenario where you're going to extract the relevant data

here yuou can find all the required background about SRM:

go to the node "Architecture and technology -> technical scenarios"; take a look to the link "Business Scenarios" located in this node

technically, ECC is regard as the backend system for SRM. Depernding of the scenario purchase orders may o may not be created in ECC, therefore you may need to use the 2lis_02* datasources for extracting po data.

For SRM you have a gui just like ECC and tc RSA* are available too, the same procedure for activating bc datasources is used

Despite the scenario used, most of master data (partners, partners relations, products, product cagetories, etc) should be extracted from SRM, even these are available in ECC, however they contain no data.

The business process for SRM and integration information with bi are available in the business process repository

go to node "Solutions/Applications -> SAP SRM -> Plan-driven Procurement with supplier integration" and choose the apropiated combination for information about procurement for example

    hope this helps

In the bpr go expand the node

Solutions/Aplications -> SRM -> Plan driven procurement with supplier integration -> SAP netweaver 7.0 (2004s), SAP ECC 6.0, SAP SRM 5.0 -> Business process -> Analyzing procurement data

At the screen on the right select the Configuration TAb, then clic on the buton "Display Document"

A new web browser screen appears. Next to the documen title "Where to Find the Relevant Configuration Documentation" there are small red arrows <- ->, click them and in the left part of the web page the tree with more documentation will appear.

its the only way I know for getting there
