Deadline monitoring is working but there is a Delay than expected time

Hi Gurus,

I have created a WF for the Schedule Agreement Release approval process and for the Deadline monitoring I am using the Business Object ZDEADLINE. For the testing purpose, in the workflow Container, i have given the Initial Value for ZDEADLINE-KEY as 'S 0601' . ( I believe it means I am setting the deadline for one minute).

Now my problem is the deadline message is coming to the next level approver after 4 hours rather than 1 minute. I have no clue about this delay.

I have tried follwing things but not able to figure it out.

1) In the TCODE SWWA , I have observed that Background job for report RSWWDHEX is scheduled for every 3 minuts.

2) I ran SM37 with the Username as WF-BATCH and ABAP program name as 'RSWWDHEX'. I have found that there are many batch jobs for each minute and finished succesfully .

3) I have also synchroized the buffer using Tcode SWU_OBUF. I also tried by loging out and logging in.

Please help me on this issue as I have to deliver this to the client ASAP.

Thank you so much.

Best Regards,

Sri

    Vish,

I suppose Deadline monitoring needs to be done for a workitem pending in an approvals inbox. For this you need not have any business object. You can go to the work item task and in 3 tabs called as latest end, latest start and requested end. Just give the time after which deadline needs to be triggered and you can enter the mail details in the same tab.

    Hope this clarifies your question.

    Regards,

    Hari
