Hello Gurus,

We use currently Citrix to access SAP ECC 6.0.Now are thinking about implementing SAP Webclient 6.0.The biggest question is - How is it possible to get the SAP ECC framework in CIC? If yes, how?

Please let me know your thoughts about this issue and how to approach this problem.

Shreya

If you speak of accessing ECC from the ICWC the answer is yes.

Is done via the transaction launcher.

There is a Nav button that will launch VA01 ro create R/3 order.

There are lots of notes and posting you can search for on the setup in this forum.

Search on CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS as that t-code is important in the setup to point CRM to your ECC system

The ERP order is a nice functionality, you are entering data in ECC but appearance is a much nicer webpage is not VA01 thru the ITS server.

More of a basis / netweaver question, I can only assume if you can get to your ECC via Citrix you should have no issue connecting to CRM / ECC from citrix.

We want the ECC screen in the webclient framework. We want to inTegrate ECC and Webclient for data exchange. But right now we get to ECC through Citrix.

We may still want to keep it through Citrix but wondering how will it show up in WEBCLIENT.

Thanks

Hello Shreya,

There are two options for accessing the ECC sales order directly inside CRM. One option is to use the transaction launcher to directly pull in the ECC screen. The transaction launcher utilizes SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) technology which renders the ECC screen via an HTML format that is compatible with the WebClient. Hence, Windows Terminal Service technolgy like Citrix is not used with this technique.

The other option is to use something called the "ERP Sales Order" which is actually a native CRM screen that creates the order directly in ECC via an RFC enabled BaPI. So Citrix would also not be used with this technique.

John/Glenn,

Our design to date has been based on accessing orders in R/3 instead of replicating all data and user exit logic into CIC order processing. However, we currently use Citrix when we log into R/3. John's last comment was that Citrix was not needed to switch to R/3 for order processing, but we will need to be able to include Citrix in the process because we have dependencies to order processing tied to it. Is it possible to have Citrix involved with the connection between CIC/CRM and R/3?

Shreya
