Global Outline Agreement Distribution

Hi,

We are working on SRM 5.0 together with a ECC 6.0 backend. We are planning using Contract Management and disributing GOA as Schedule Agreement.

The question is how the BLAORD idoc works for creation and update situation. When information is sent to backend system for IDOC creation does the system overwrites the Scheduling Agreement information in case of an update.

Thank you for the help,

Doubtful whether you will be able to create direct SA in ECC by distributing GOA from SRM.

As per me SRM GOA can be distributed to ECC to create plantwise contracts.

And the same then you can use in ECC to create PO/SA.

The releases of this PO/SA can be back updated in SRM via IDOC.

To enhance the IDOC enterin ECC for contract generation BADI BBP_CTR can be implemented in ECC

Looking at other forum entries and sap help i am convinced that you can create a Scheduling Agreement on the backend from a GOA. There is even the option in distribution tab Contract/Scheduling Agreement. I think it is without Schedule Lines but thats fine since MRP run will do that automatically.

However, my question is valid regardless of the document being a Contract or Scheduling Agreement. The question is what is the standard behavior of SRM when distributing the changes done in GOA into the contract in ECC? Does it overwrite the whole document or only the changes?

The answer is important for a business requirement which is not overwriting the changes done in the backend document. These changes are not manual but automaticly done (flag) under certain circumstances.

Thank you again,

Hi Gaia,

You are right. SA can be created in R/3 by distributing GOA.

When you modify the GOA in SRM, it will overwrite any changes you may have done manually to the R/3 contract/SA. The idea is that the GOA acts like a master contract and any changes from it should be propagated to R/3.
