Problem whle loading security information

On Iviews connecting to mdm repositories I am suddenly getting this error:

"Error Occurred: Problem while loading security information (user/roles) from repository 'Portal_Vendors' (see log for details)"

My systems all seem to work and pass connection tests

my alais is set-up and uses correct passwords.

2 questions:

1) What log file is this refering to?

2) Any idea on what to do to correct this issue?

Thanks

Marty

    Hi Marty,

I guess you should check log files under MDM Server. Defintiely this is nothing related to portal. could you check/verify the repository?

    Thanks,

    Hi Marty,

    Check to see the following:

    - The Roles and Users created in MDM console are all consistent and uniques with uinque login credentials ie the username and pwd.

    - The check the user mapping in portal.

    - Whether the correct MDM users are mapped with the Correct Portal user and are having the sufficient administration rights needed.

    - Login with the user in MDM the one you have mapped with the portal user.If the MDM user is able to perform all the assigned tasks correctly within MDM.The same should be allowed on portal as well.If not there is something missing on portal settings.

    Hope It Helped

      Hi Marty,

Have you installed the MDM components on portal as per the MDM version ?

The business package repositories deployed on portal must be of the same patch level as the MDM patch. So if you are using MDM 5.5 SP06 Patch 2 then you should be installing the same patch and version .SCA files in portal.

Are you working with the standard archieved repositories or customized ones?

If you are using the std shipped content then try creating a customized rep in MDM,sometimes the std rep do have some problems associated with them in portal.Just try with a customized repository is it throwing the same error.

If so then create a new system and alias and try creating and using a new iview a simple one just to locate the exact error.

      Hope It Helped

      Thanks & Regards
