BDC/BAPI for PR/PO amendment for short closing and recreating line item

Dear All

We are coming close to the cutover activity, we need clarification wrt PR/PO Amendments. Can a BDC/BAPI be created for standard PR/PO amendments where line item of consumed quantity be short close and the new line item of unconsumed quantity will be created with account assignment category as Q in case of Material PR/PO and P & D in case of service PO and assignment to WBS.

As business doesnt want to create new PR/PO and thus require old PO no to continue
