variant not see

I can't see the variant screen. Can it be arised from the changes i made on he alv (like hide column , column text change )

More details please! What variant screen are you trying to see. What kind of application is this. I assume this is related to ALV, but what variant screen do you want? Do you just want to save your settings as a new layout variant?

I want to see the variant of the viewcontaineruielement. When i enter the settings of the viewcontaineruielement I can't see the variant selection screen.

Is this an application that you built or SAP delivered? The saving layouts can be disabled in code. If that is not the case, then the problem could be a missing role. You can control who can create layouts via access to a particular role.
