co product setting in process industries

Hai gurus,

one of my client is mining industries.

they extract various minerals from the earth and they produce various

final products.

1) one finished goods at 60 to 70 % yield

2)second finished goods(co product) at 20 to 30 % yield

3) scrap at 10 to 15 %

kindly tell me the steps involved ,to configure the co product and scrap in process industries.

    There is one setting in material master MRP-2 view, you need to select the Co-Product tick mark for the main product and co-product. If you select the tick mark in material master, the same will be reflected in BOM also. Then you need to select the joint production Tab, there you need to give the apportionment structure. Based on this structure the cost will be posted.

    Also, while creating the production order for the main product, automatically one more line item of the same material will be copied in the production order. This you can see in the component overview.
