Add Portal iView to Web Page in Web Page Composer

I would like to add a Portal iView to a web page using Web Page Composer. What are the steps to be able to do this?

We are using NetWeaver 2004s with SP16.

Thank you for your assistance.

Go to sap help docs: [Configuring Entry Points for iViews|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/06/4776399abf4b73945acb8fb4f41473/content.htm].

I just set this up myself and it works fine. Remember to set iview isolation method to embedded rather than url to get a seamless integration on the page.

When you set up step 3 'configuring entry point' remember to use the form '/pcd/portal_content/your-WPC-iview-folderpath' when setting the path to your PCD folder.

Good luck

Hi,

I created the folder for iViews under Portal Content and gave the Everyone group Read permission and activated the End User indicator. I also did the steps to configure the PCD Repository to be displayed in the KM configuration. I then restarted the servlet engine.

I'm not having any luck creating the Link to the PCD entry point. I've tried both Configuring Global Entry Points and Creating Site-Specific Entry Points. If I go to Content Administration --> KM Content, I do see the pcd folder.

Do you have any suggestions on what I might be missing? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Le,

The problem that I was having was not putting a correct value in the sharedcontent property. I was able to create a Global Entry Point by following the instructions in the SAP Help Documenation and then entering the value for the sharedcontent property Henning suggested - "use the form '/pcd/portal_content/your-WPC-iview-folderpath' when setting the path to your PCD folder" when you configure the wpcDragExplorerEntryPoints configuration object.

Hope this helps.

hello:

Alex Zelinski

Frist thank you!

Is it must be configured by global entry point?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Le,

I configured a Global Entry Point. These are the steps:

1. Choose System Administration ® System Configuration ® Knowledge Management ® Content Management ® User Interface ® (Show Advanced Options) ® Mapping ® Component

2. Edit the wpcDragExplorerEntryPoints configuration object.

In the Parameters field, you can enter the following properties:

Property: displaymode

Description: Specify select

Property: maxproviderprio

Description: Enter a value for the highest priority number that standard entry points can have and still be displayed in the Web content browser The priority of standard entry points is between 3 and 80. For a list of standard entry points and their priorities, see the configuration at Content Management ® Repository Managers ® Entry Point Providers ® Entry Point Provider.

Property: entriesperrow

Description: Number of entry points displayed in each row (default: 5)

Property: entrypointsprefix

Description: Prefix of the entry point repository. If you specify a value for this parameter, standard KM entry points are also displayed in the Web content browser. Default: /entrypoints

Property: sharedcontent

Description: Semicolon-separated list of paths to be displayed as global entry points for shared content

Example of a complete specification in the Parameter field:

displaymode=select,maxproviderprio=30,entriesperrow=5,sharedcontent=/wpccontent/Cross-Site Content;/documents/MyFolder

Hi Le,

I have iview kept in Web page and set the isolation method property as embedded but it is taking whole web page.

Also we need to navigate through one html which has been kept in web page of wpc to teh worset which is outside the WPC .any clues.I used quick link to do the same but two Top level navigations are coming.
