Consignment stock and 3rd party processing

Hi all

We have a set of materials which we manufacture on demand at a 3rd party supplier, and therefore these materials go through the 3rd party sales process, with associated purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice receipts etc etc.

However, we currently deal with a large customer, who requires all their dealings to be on a consignment stock basis, whereby we use the customer consignment stock process (i.e. consignment fill up, issue, pick up and return). This customer now wishes to order the manufacture on demand materials.

So my problem is...

How do we amalgamate the two processes, so we hold customer consignment stock for a 3rd party sales processed material?

Thanks - but I can't see why SAP say this is not configurable. I would have thought that if we configured our own movement type whereby the stock is delivered direct into the consignment stock location, then that should meet the requirements.

I'll have a go, but will probably have to resort to ABAP code.
