We have a scenario where 2 concurrent users need to edit a single
record in MDM via Data Manager.
By using the featurs of MDM , user (A) can check out and edit that
particular record. But, at the same time other user (B) can not do any
updates to the record that User A has checked out. Is there any
setting / patch we are missing? How do we achieve this (2 users editing a same record via MDM Data manager)?
We are using MDM Versin: 5.5.62.58 (5.5 SP6)
Hi,
in order to have two users working on the same checked-out record, you have to modify the join permissions. Right-click on the record and select Check-In/Out --> Modify Join Permissions. Add the user to the checkout. Then click on Ok. The other user then has to right-click the record, select Check-In/Out and then Join Checkout. He will then be able to modify the record as well.
Hope that helps.
Best regards
Christian

Hi Vinay,
Right Click on the record and select CheckOut -> Non-Exclusive. After that you need to again right click on that record and select Checkout -> Modify Join Permissions. Here you need to assign the users and roles those are allowed to modify the checked out record.
