Budget amount Re-setup

Dear all,

While we reset a budget amount, its not throwing any msgs or warning. how can we know tht the budget amt is been revised or by which user?.

i ve checked there is no change log available to note this. have any one noticed tht?

If known kindly share ur pts

Approval only applies to Marketing Documents for 2005 version. Added some inventory documents for 2007.

It is not yet available for Budget.

You can, however, create a user query to assign to user alert.

Do you want every single changes on your budget table to fire alert or your have some conditions?

Not for every changes. But the changes made on Budget Amount field (Debit, Cedit) and the user who did it.

In the query creation, I would like to expect you can start to try. I would like to give help on troubleshooting but not replace your function to do the job.

The first you can try is limiting the access to budget setup. In case you have more superusers that you can not limit, second choice would be using SP Transaction Notification to get that waning. You can even restrict to only one user to update it in the second way.

I just want to know who has revised the amt?

In the case of SP Transaction Notification can we restrict the action?

there s no type of the document i hope.

Do you know how to track the user's action over the Budget?

Can we have Approval when the amt is been to be revised?

like if any user updates the budget amount he should not able to add it b4 it s been approved by any higher officials?
