Bar code scanning for materials for QR codes and codes other than the EAN128

Good Morning,
What is the mechanism and configuration steps needed If i have a barcode reader device that is already integrated with SAP ByDesign ex:Motorola

connected to my laptop and i want the system to read the info from that QR code attached to the item/part and to show it on the system screen automatically as for ex:materials description,color and size?
