Hello SAP Experts,
I have a customer with a 1.2 terabyte CDCLS table that needs to be cleanup ASAP to prevent their datastore from filling. What’s the fastest way to do this?
The SAP and Data Volume Management guide say to run RSCDOK99 in SE38, but the client’s system can only process 5 days (~2.5 million records) of records at once. This is good for maintenance but is way too slow for the initial cleanup. On top of that, there isn’t enough room in the data store for Oracle to reorg the table.
What is a faster way to do this? Do I NEED to use RSCDOK99 for this initial cleanup, or can I drop and re-add the table? Truncate it?
I’m just a basis admin, there are no DBA’s to handle this, so please provide instructions with answers if possible.
The customer’s system is running Netweaver 7.0.19, Oracle 11.2.0.3, on Linux.
