Copying objects from one client to another

I need to copy many objects from the DEV client to the QA client. A typical program contains many elements - Screens, Status, Title, Transaction and so on. Currently the way I copy is by manually creating the individual elements in the new client. Is there a better way to do this, like copying over all elements in one go from one client to the other?

You have to do it with transport requests. In the request pick up R3TR PROG name_of_the program ==> this will take the program with all screens, titlebars, GUI statueses. However you have to add the following objects to the request manually: include programs, transaction codes, any Z... dictionary objects.

Repository objects like Programs, function Modules etc are same across all the clients. If you create that in one client of a server, you can see the same code in another client of the same server.

If the servers are different, you need to make transport request for the objects and transport them to target server.

    - Call transaction SE10 and create a "Transport of Copies" request, give the QA system as the target,

    - Include the report(s) in it (put the whole object will all sub-object by inserting the R3TR PROG object) (or, via SE10, insert objects from your every nitial DEV transport requests)

    - Transport the request to the desired target

    Regards

    Hi,

You can copy all the Program elements in a Single CTS and transport the same to QA.

If some of the Program elements are already saved into a different CTS/Transport Request, then you can choose the option of Change Object directory and move all of them into a single CTS.

Use SE80 to view all program elements in a One go.....
