Missing Release Strategy tab in Purchase Req

Hi Experts,

The Release Strategy tab in the purchase requisition is missing when creating the Purchase req from a maintenance work order. I have created numerous purchase requisitions with no problem but when creating it from the Work Order, the tab isn't there. The work order has not been released but it should still allow to create a purchase req. When creating a normal purchase req, everything is fine but when creating from a Work Order, the tab is missing. Any idea what I am missing? Setting in SPRO perhaps?

Thank you Tom for the answer and good feedback. That leads to my next question, how to make the actual change. Would it be in the SPRO transaction or some place else? And if in SPRO, where would I find it?

Gary,

Check the Purchase Requisition Release Strategy config. One of the criteria can be the method of creation (in this case via Order or Manually). If the config specifies that only Manually created Reqs require Release, then those created by the Work Order will not require a Release (and, thus, not have a Release Strategy tab). The tab is only on a Req if a Release is required.
