It possible to book a goods receipt from a return order with mvnt type 671 via IDOC?

Hi guys,

I am desperately searching for an answer and couldn`t find one so far.

We are using a two step transfer to return goods from a plant and book the goods receipt in the distribution center via the corresponding delivery and the movement type 671 (transaction VL02N).

Since our logistics provider will tell us, when he returned the goods to his warehouse I want to create an IDOC on this basis to book the gr via movement type 671 automatically in SAP.

Do you guys know if is possible to use mvt type 671 in an IDOC and which IDOC basic type I could use?

Any help is appreciated !!

yea I tried to choose another tag but the page is only suggesting SAP Business One or Training....

What tag (e.g. what product) did you need? I will see if I can reproduce the issue.

mmh my problem occurs in SAP Retail System inbetween the SD and MM modules... does that help you?

The correct tag should be "Retail"

Yea you`re right, but this is not available under primary tags so I just added it as secondary!

Hi Tim

You can use idoc basic type WMMBID02. In fact this basic type can be used to post any inventory goods movement.

My problem now is, that I can not use the movement type 671 since it is created automatically with the booked goods receipt of the delivery in the SD modul (TA VL02N). Nevertheless I have to use this movement type since the returned stock is in transit of the DC, I`m quite sure I can`t use another one for that process.

If I try to use the movement type for booking the gr via the IDOC (TA WE19), SAP just tells me that mt 671 is not possible in this case.

Do you have any tips what I could try to solve that?

I am sorry but I am not able to get your business requirement. As per my understanding you want to automate the mvt 671 for goods receipt in DC via idoc, and WMMBXY can do that. I am not sure why system will tell you this is not possible.

yea, you understood it the right way!

I try figure out how to "allow" this movt type to be used in an IDOC. My understand is, that there are special mvt types, like 671 or e.g. 641, which usally are created automatically by SAP when a gr is booked manuall, e.g. with TA VL02N.

Since I want to book this gr via an IDOC, I think I have to customize or "allow" mt 671 to be used in that way...

Hi guys,

I`ve found the solution 🙂

For this case I used SHPORD / DELVRY03 combination to change the inbound delivery and book the GR. In the segment E1EDL18 the Qualifier has to be set to PGI.

Other necessary data is POSNR, MATNR, WERKS, LGORT, LFIMG, VRKME, LGMNG and MEINS in segment E1EDL24
