Dear all,
has anybody a document describing the naming conventions for PDC Object.
Example:
iv_xxxx for iViews
ro_xxxx for Roles
etc.
Thanks for help
Roman
Hi Roman,
check the SAP ASAP Roadmap for Enterprise Portal which can be found in [the SAP Service Marketplace|http://service.sap.com/roadmaps].
There you have several so called "accelerators" - one of those is a best practice document for naming conventions.
Look at Chapter 3.3.1.3
(I know because it is my slide set setup during an implementation project )
Hth,
Michael

Hello Michael,
I searched the ASAP "accelerators" but couldn't find the whitepaper about PCD naming conventions. Could you provide exact location on the Marketplate. We are in the phase of implementation of SAP Portal and correct naming in the beginning will save us time in the future.
Thank you
Regards
Uros
Roman,
You can follow prefixes below mentioned way.
iView
com.<organisation name>. <source/functional area(optional )>.<business group(optional)>.<content type>.<descriptive title>
For example
iView: com.<org>.km.hr.ivu
page : com.<org>.km.hr.role
role : com.<org>.km.hr.rol.
Do not prefix for folders.
Thanks
Mark

Roman,
Usually the naming convention used by clients is as:
com.<Client Name>.<componentName>.<PCD Object Type>
like for an ESS iview it's
com.<client name>.ess.iv
