Main contact warning in pportunity

Hi pros,

What can cause a warning message "Main contact is initial. Delete it or enter an ID."

I am getting this message in the opportunity created with an individual customer. I can't understand what main contact has to do with individual customers. THis appears for every opportunity created from Lead with individual customer.

I ssee this message only in the test system which is in 1611, but not in the productive tennant with 1608.

Dear Nadezhda Rukavishnikova,

Such issues are usually caused because empty invalid references to contacts in the opportunity. There multple acts that can possibly cause this issue. In testing in our systems, it is possible to create such an entry in the following way:-

i)In the Opportunity TI, go to the involved parties facet and hit 'Add'.

ii)In the pop up, include a contact. Then remove the contact.

ii)Hit the 'Add' button on the pop-up, and save.

There are also other possibilities as below:-

- PDI implementation cleared these entries. Note that I looked and did not see an obvious cause here, but the implementation is large and perhaps we missed something. You could ask the responsible developers if this is possible.

- There is a use case that is unknown to us where this occurs in mass data maintenance.

- A2X update, if used.

Since the possibilities are wide-spread, we cannot be sure at this time.

I see you have reported incident 3100983234 to support. Let us wait to see what observations the product team makes here. The fact that such observations are from Opps converted from leads are also take note of.
