How do I make the ID number (Q0002-PERID) optional

Former Member
0 Kudos

I went to PA30 and found via F1 + F9 the following:

Program Name = MP000200

Sreen Number = 2044

Then I went to SPRO

- Personnel Management

- Personnel Administration

- Customizing User Interfaces

- Change Screen Modifications

BUT there is no entry for Module Pool Name = MP000200 for Screen = 2044.

Where should I look then?

No "2044" in "Screen"...

There are several "2044" in "Alternative screen".

If this is where I should look: how do I know which one it is???

Go to PE03

and check Feature P0002.

In that in check your country group and find which screen assigned default that is your screen.

It is not compulsory every country have one screen specailly untill unless there is a changne only they make specail screen otherwise they use one (countries who similar field use same screen )

I'm not sure what I should be looking for...

I found Belgium under

- P0002

- - ITBLD

- - - otherwise

- - - - MOLGA

- - - -- 12 Belgium

- - - - - - TCLAS

- - - - - - - B

- - - - - - - - 12AP

- - - - - - - otherwise

- - - - - - - - 12

But what now?

And how can I see in which country setting my screen is showing up?

Former Member

So It means that there is no specail screen for country group 44

They using normal screen

If you contry grouping is 12 why you watching 44 screen?

sorry As today i dont have access to SAP system i can't give you clear picture.

Maybe I should rephrase :

I want to make the PERID field *optional* instead of required.

I search in *PA30* which program name and screen this is and found:

- Program name: MP000200

- Screen: 2044

So with this information I went to *SPRO* and looked under:

Personnel Management

- Personnel Admin

-- Customizing UI

--- Change Screen Modifications

THE PROBLEM:

There is no entry with Module Pool Name = MP000200 and Screen = 2044

All entries for MP000200 have Screen = 2000 or 3000

There are however several entries with SUBSCREEN = 2044.

But how do I know which one it is???

Solved by changing screen view and knowing which one it is

Hi,

Can you please check for an entry that looks somewhat like the below->

STEP-1

Module Screen Feature Variable Key Alt Screen

MP000200 2000 (Under P0002) 12 2044

Variable Key: Can you check what are the available variable keys( including any blanks, numbers)? It should be 12 according to your previous posts.

Also go to PE03-> P0002 , check if there is any value assigned to your country grouping(MOLGA). If there is any value assigned then-> that value is the variable key.

I understand you donu2019t want this to be country specific. Can you try the above once so that we can make out some solution for making this generic for all the countries ( By working out on the feature).

STEP-2

Path to go to Screen Modifications ( PM-> PA-> Customizing User Interfaces->Change Screen Modifications) Search for-> MP000200 - 2000 - 12- 2044. Click on change

Here you can search for the Personal ID number field(Q0002-PERID) and mark it as OF and save.

Now when you try to enter Infotype 2 , it will not ask you to enter ID number. It saves without ID number.

Note: Usually in real time this is not a right practice as SIN number is a valid entry that we need to capture for all employees.

This is what I have:

MP000200 - 2000 - 12 - 2012 (but this is definitly not the screen I am seeing)

I also have:

MP000200 - 2000 - 08 - 2044

MP000200 - 2000 - 09 - 2044

MP000200 - 2000 - 09AP - 2044

MP000200 - 2000 - 20AP - 2044

MP000200 - 2000 - 23 - 2044

MP000200 - 2000 - 23AP - 2044

MP000200 - 2000 - 44 - 2044

These all have the same fields, but none have the settings that match the screen I am seeing...

The entries in the table with Alt.screen 2044 have all matching fields, but none of them seems to have settings that correspond to the screen I'm viewing...

How do I know which one of these entries I have to choose?

(Without having a country assigned to me)

Former Member

In such case you design you own screen. using screen programing and add that screen in the table and assign it wherever you need

This might be solution for you

Please look in to this

Why do I need to know the country?

There is no country assigned as we work over all countries...

Does this make sense?

I just need to know which screen I am seeing so I can change the settings for PERID.

Former Member

hi you are using screen with variable key 12.

Former Member

So subscreen 2044 with variable key 12???

Don't have that in the list.

Ya it makes sense it doesn't matter for SAP if you do for all over the world all over the Galexy.

They make every thing country specific. If any thing is country specific they maintained in spcific screens and assigned to that country ?

If you want solution you have to see otherwise just leave it

All the best

Yes, I do want a solution, but I don't have any country settings in my parameters.

Still there must be something or else I would not see that screen

What I don't understand is that in SPRO .... I only see MP000200 2000 and not MP000200 2044.

I do have several

Mod. Pool Screen Feature Variable Key Alt.Screen Next screen

MP000200 2000 ............ .................. 2044 ................

with different variable keys
