Hi,
brtools introduced with oracle 9i. With oracle8i you have to use "sapdba" for administration tasks.
go through the below link for SAPDBA

Hi,
What is your sap product version. In oracle 8i there is no such option called brtools.. As of my knowleadg concern Oracle introduced brtools from 10g onwards.
You can use SAPDBA for adminstration purpose.

The answer to what I think is your question has been already given.
If you do not have clue about oracle, then it will be difficult to advise.
BR* tools are used to administer the oracle database. There is an interactive menu to the individual tools with most of the options.
It is called BRTOOLS. You use it when you do not know how to call each tool individually.
Please, attend to the training mentioned by Eric (ADM505) and read the documentation. There you get an overview of the tools capabilities (and you can go as deep as you want)
