How to update SAPJVM

Hello everyone,

is there any documentation available about how to update SAPJVM Kernel component ?

Couldn't find anything on the SAPNET so far ...

Dear Thomas,

Firstly please check the prerequisited according to the note:

1367498 - SAP JVM installation prerequisites

Then you can download the relevant JVM from Service Marketplace, see help from note:

1442124 - How to download a SAP JVM patch from the SMP

SAP NetWeaver based systems use the Software Update Manager (SUM) to apply a SAP JVM patch. For more information please see the following note:

1133020 - How to import a SAP JVM patch into an AS Java

Hi Thomas,

For SAP JVM, please follow Barnabas's solution. As you mentioned "SAPJVM Kernel", below might help if you wish to do a manual kernel upgrade. Do note that SUM is the official tool as Barnabas stated earlier:
