Is this a conflict between styles?

I created a style in se72 and used to change my font in so10.

i created seperate char formats for undeline and bold in se72 style.

i also have a style in my smartform.This is just having only the desired char font style.no underlines and bold char formats in this.

in my std text, i underlined some lines and boleded some lines.when i print preview in so10 everything seems to be fine.but when i c the o/p of smartform, those underlines and bold chars doesnt come up.what could be the reason.

Thanks

Kiran

Hello,

Check your Paragraph Formats that you've defined. Because, even if you define the Character Format as per your requirement, the Paragraph format will override your Character Format.

In se72, i have 3 types of char fonts.

c1->underline Helve 10

c2->bold Helve 10

c3-> Helve 10.

I created a tex in so10 with a combo of all 3.

In smartstyle, i have a p1 paragraph and c5 char font with helve 10.

when i included the std text in form, i also included p1 of smartsyle.

This is how i did.

am i missing or doing wrong any where.

thanks

kiran

I solved it as below:

I dont really understand if this is how it works or not...But I am on shore with this solution:

As I said, I had C1, C2, C3 as underlined Bold & font size in se72.

I also had smartstyle created for the form.

Now I created the same 3 character fonts with same names in this smartstyle and its a surprise that it started working fine.

I am getting the required FONT, UNDERLINEs & BOLD letters as and where required.

Hope some one can give me the technical reason for it.

Thanks for everyone who took their time out and contributed their ideas for me.

Best regards,

Kiran
