yes you r right

in senario....vendor has to kept his stocks with us but is not liable to pay unless it consumes.

since when the inventory is not debited to customers account ....one is not liable to pay for VENDOR.

means vendor is credited.

GR -- no a/c mvt

GI -- Consumption A/C -- DR

Consignment ( liability a/c ) Payable -- CR

MRKO -- Consignment ( liability a/c ) Payable -- DR

Vendor a/c -- CR

PO --> GR(101) --> GR(TP) 411 k ( to own stock) --> Consignment liability --> MRKO.

GR -- no a/c mvt

GR ( TP ) 411 k -- Consumption A/C -- DR

Consignment ( liability a/c ) Payable -- CR

MRKO -- Consignment ( liability a/c ) Payable -- DR

Vendor a/c -- CR
