hi experts
If we have imported an IDOC from R/3 and developed an interface, but after some days some IDOC segments changed so does this effect our interface? if yes then what to do and if no then please provise some reasons.
Thanks
Yes, the scenario could get affetcted due to change in metadata. For resolving this, just reimport the Idoc in IR and delete and reload the metadata in transaction idx2.

Hello
Assuming that the name of IDOC type and message type is same as old one, It might not affect your scenario if the fields which are extended/changed not populated with values,
Because the XML reached to integration engine if its same as earlier it wont affect anything.
But if the XML changes you have to reimport the IDOC message type.
Try with WE19.
IF you populate only those values which are also present in the existing IDOC message type in XI. it would excute successfully.

Hi,
If Idoc structure is changed in R3, you should reimport the Idoc in XI, keeep running ur current scenarios.

Hi,
Re-import the IDOC into IR and secondly by using tcode IDX2 first delete the old metadata then load it again.

Hi,
You need to reimport the IDoc into the XI System, then only we can see the modified segments in the IDoc.
