Transactions ?

Hi

When do we use these transactions like LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI ? Do we need to have authorizations to run them ? Where exactly is it used ?

These are not transactions. These are RFC destinations which could be seen in sm59 transactions. Authorization to these objects are not mandatory.

    From help.sap

The RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI are used for the SLD connection. They use the SLD access data maintained with transaction SLDAPICUST. The RFC destination LCRSAPRFC is used to read the exchange profile; SAPSLDAPI is used by the ABAP API.

      Ajith,

when you run transaction SLDCHECK on ABAP stack and found any problem then to sort out the problem we look into SM59 as well as in Visual Admind if these RFCs have been created in both places or not because these RFCs are responsible to make the connection wih SLD.

    Hi Ajith,

These are not transactions. They are RFC connections. You can see/create/edit them in Transaction SM59.

    LCRSAPRFC

The RFC destination LCRSAPRFC is required for the connection to the System Landscape Directory (SLD). It is used to read the exchange profile.

    ● SAPSLDAPI

The RFC destination SAPSLDAPI is required for the connection to the SLD. It is used by the ABAP API.
