Hi

When posting to special perods ,should i post only on the last date of fiscal year ex 31.12.2007 and give period 13/14/15/16 which ever i wanna post.

Is it possible that i noe being in period 10,i can post in period 13 now with dated 30.09.2008 is it right?

hi I agree with Eli.

The purpose of spl post periods is to allow the users to post adjustments in the previous year and allow regular business process for the current year.

It is you to decide which transaction needs to be posted in which year i.e., previous and current.

The idea to post previous years adjustments on the last day of the previous year is... to get the profitability analysis undisturbed. If you post on the date other than the last date of the Pre. year, the profitability before the adjustment and after the adjustment differs which takes the decision makers into confusion.

As per my knowledge special posting periods only we can use audit purpose ,tax adjustments after compilation of the financial statements

we can post up 12th posting period

Posting in special period comes when you change the posting period to 13/14/15/16. Use date always as last day of the fiscal year say 31/12/2008 with spl period

Date 31/12/2008 with 12 period is automatic

Date 31/12/2008 with 13 period needs manual entry of date and period.

Date 31/12/2008 with 14 period needs manual entry of date and period

Date 31/12/2008 with 15 period needs manual entry of date and period

Date 31/12/2008 with 16 period needs manual entry of date and period.

You can't post on 30.12.2008 with a spl period of 13/14/15/16

Actually, you can The date does not matter, only the month should be December.

the special periods are meant for the last posting period adjustments, so as per my knowledge we cant post the posting periods below 12.
