Syndicator Properties

Hi Gurus,

I am looking for the explanation and effect of below properties related to MDM Syndicator. I know the exact use of all the three properties but didn't get the desired result after setting them.

1. Filter Qualified Links

2. Language Inheritance

3. Fixed Colum Width

I am using MDM 5.5. SP06 {5.5.61.48}

Any help will be highly appreciated..

Hi Jitesh,

Filter Qualified Links property works absolutely fine in Syndicator; but Language Inheritance property doesn't work as it is supposed to work. As far as Fixed Column Width property is concerned, it is not enabled in current versions of Syndicator.

Filter Qualified Link: If you have applied any search criteria on Qualified records and you want to syndicate only those qualified values that satisfies the criteria and supress all other qualified values for all the records. Then you sould select Filter Qualified Links and MDM Syndicator will then syndicate only those qualified values that satisfies the criteria.

It is working fine at my end so it should work for you as well.

Thanks for your reply.

In case of Filter Qualified Links even after selecting the Qualifier value i.e. drill down search it is still showing the other values in Destination Preview tab.

Can you provide any sample data on which I can test the same.

Hi Jitesh,

I would suggest you to test this on one single record in Syndicator. First select one record by entering any Unique value in Free form search. That selected record should have more than one non-qualifier values.

Now create one field in Destination Items, Go to Map Properties --> Go to Filter Qualified Links --> By default it will take all the non-qualifier values; select the checkbox from the Value Column.

Now in Drill down search, select the non-qualifier value which you want to syndicate --> Map the source qualified value with the created destination field. --> go to Destination Preview tab --> Syndicator will display you only that particular value whcih you hacve selected in Drill-down serach and will supress all other qualified values.

Like in my example, I have two values in Qualified field (Germany and USA) and when I have selected Germany in Drill-down search and selected the property Filter Qualified Links --> then it's showing me only Germany in Destination Preview tab.

Found the solution

Qualified table should have more than one Display Field then only Filter Qualified Link option will work.

Thats not true!

My qual table has only 1 DF NQ and 1 Qual... still I can make it work!
