Can you be more specific? What process are you talking about?

Meter reading irreg? Billing irreg? Payment irreg? Net losses?

Your question is like asking "What's the meaning of a whistle blow in a soccer match"...

Kevin ,

Thanks for your response..

Meter reading:

Types of irreg: for example zero consumption measured, consumption outside the limits of a prediction, index lower than the previous index, etc...

Standard in SAP: the rules for these checks can be set in customizing (look for "plausibility"). Transaction EL29 gives you a list of everything that was considered 'irregular'.

Billing:

Types of irreg: very high/low amounts in a bill in reference to a fixed limit, or the previous bill. Also errors due to incorrect data (no valid meter reading, missed facts, missed rates, missing prices)

Standard in SAP: rules can be set for the amounts in custo (look for outsorting). transaction EA05 gives a list of everything in outsorting. The errors are always logged in the transaction log (online, or in SLG1).

Same outsorting principle exists for invoicing.

basically, browse the help.sap.com files in ISU for "plausibility" and "outsorting".

Good luck!
