Planning area notes

How can we copy planning area notes from one planning area to another where the second planning area is going to have more characteristics in addition to existing ones from old planning area.Key figures are the same.There is an option to copy from one version to another for the same planning area but not b/w planning areas.Is their any function module or BAPI existing for that?Or should we do manual upload download?

Please advise.
