cost center distribution

Hi All,

Can an associate have more than 2 cost centers. can the costs be distributed among the cost centers.How is that reflected in finance point of view.

generally we asssign cost centre in two way one is through OM and one is through PA IT0027

in OM side the cost is caluculated on Position base

and PA it will caluculate on PERNR base and here we can have split in the cost centre

but again it depends upon the FICO people

What do you mean by an associate?

For an employee it is possible and there are ways of doing it.

You can assign the personnel to different positions w. different percentages so that the cost of the personnel is distributed to the cost centers of those positions according to the percentages. Another way is to create 27 infotype for the personnel by specifiying the percentage.

I agree with you .By using 027 infotype we can allocate different cost centers to a single employee. But how is effected in pay roll and finance. for example covenyence cost has to be distributed between the 2 cost centers.

FI people will set up the 2 cost centers which will track the conveyence costs.

On HR side, we will post the dollar values for these conveyences to those cost centers.
