Change GR/IR Clearing Account for Services

Dear All,

I have assigned valuation class to a newly created material group . I have created a service PO with this material group. I require separate GR/IR clearing account for this service.Hence, I assigned G/L account for this valuation class in OBYC WRX.

But , when I do Service Entry, system is showing error -

Account determination for entry CAIN WRX not possible*_

If I put no valuation class & assign G/L in obyc-WRX, that G/L account is picked up while doing service entry sheet & no error occures.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this?

hi

check following

1. Check in OMWD, whether Valuation grouping code "0001" ia ssigned to Ur plant

2. OBYC - If you have assigned GR/IR Clearing A/c to WRX then check whether you have maintained it with combination of valuation class and GL A/c

If yes then maintain only GL A/c w/o valuation class OR maintain one entry with valuation class empty and GL A/c

1) Check OMSK WHETHER MATERIAL TYPE IS ASSIGNED TO THE ACCOUNT CATEGORY REFERENCE.

2) Go to Grouping together Valuation Areas,check whether valuation grouping code is there or not...(OMWD).

Hi

For services GR/IR clearing account cannot be determined in that way by assigning the material group to the Valuation class.

Assigning valaution class for material group is only for determing the Consumption account.

Try performing your services with a service master & maintain the Valuation class in the Service master , perform the service entry sheet ( GR) & check if the GR/IR account is determined.

Hi,

If you are using GR/IR Clearing Account based on Valuation Classes then you have to create Service Masters for the same with Valuation Classes. Then it will determine valuation class for service master and accordingly search for the GR/IR Clearing A/c from OBYC.

And in case if you are not using Service Master then there is not use of maintaining GR/IR Clearing Account based on Valuation Classes in OBYC. Then maintain an entry with blank valuation class.

Thanks.I have already tried maintaining valuation class in service master but in vain.System is not determining the G/L account. Of course,if we maintain G/L for blank valuation class, it is determined,but I would like to assign different G/L accounts for different services.

Any other way?
